What to expect when you arrive at the Record Office

• The entrance to the public searchroom is clearly signposted from the front gates.
• Staff will be available to welcome you and explain what to do.
• You will be asked to leave all coats, umbrellas, bags, briefcases, laptop and camera cases in the cloakroom, and we provide free secure storage. Unfortunately due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate large items of luggage such as large briefcases, rucksacks or suitcases.
• You will be asked to read the searchroom rules, show us your CARN ticket and sign the register.
